Countdown to Curo
Our name is changing in July
Over the past year we have been reviewing our
organisational structure, our future plans and our name. From 2nd
July 2012 we will be called Curo.
We are bringing together all our three landlord functions –
Somer Community Housing Trust, Redland and Shape – into one. At the
same time, we will also set up a specialist organisation to provide
support and care services.
When we make these changes, later in the year, we will take the
opportunity to move to having just one name: Curo. Curo is Latin
for ‘I care’. We think this name represents the spirit of our
organisation perfectly, and our plans for the future.
What difference will this make?
Our change of name will not change any tenancy
conditions, rents or the cost of our support services either.
Changing our name will reduce duplication and make it
easier for customers to know who their landlord or support provider
is. It will also, in the longer term, allow us to improve service
quality, consistency and convenience.
Meet the Curo family
To help differentiate the services provided to customers, our
four operating divisions will have the following sub-brands, within
the Curo Group family:
- Curo Places will be our housing
association
- Curo Choice will be our care and support
business
- Curo Enterprise will be our commercial
business
- Curo Response will be the name for our direct
labour organisation
