Procurement has been centralised since July 2006 and great
strides have already been made in cross-functional working
throughout the Group. Members have established strong collaborative
working practices that have resulted in the production of joint
specifications for contracts. This has produced larger volumes,
which deliver better pricing and improved service and quality
standards.
Somer Housing Group provides a range of support services to its
members, including fundraising and procurement. Find out more about
the Group's role here.

New Build HomeBuy

'We're really, really happy here. It's in Bath
where we wanted to purchase and it's a big apartment; we couldn't
be happier.'
Katie and Nick purchased a 50 per cent share
in a two-bedroom apartment at The Hexagon. They were desperate to
get on the housing ladder, but although they both work full-time,
they couldn't find any properties in Bath that they could afford to
buy.
Katie works as a staff nurse in the city and was therefore eligible
to apply for shared ownership properties at The Hexagon. This was
the solution they needed to own an affordable home in Bath.
